Lake Murray Cane Piles

Since the introduction of the blueback herring in South Carolina’s Lake Murray, the bass fishing dynamic here has changed towards targeting schooling fish. Enterprising anglers have adapted to the pelagic fishery by strategically planting structures comprised of river cane, which offer roaming bass a place to park in the upper water column. Utilizing an Aqua-Vu camera, Kim, along with local angler Josh Rennebaum, will examine the cane piles as well as other fish-holding structure.
